NoMad reimagines its New York roots for its first Asian property
Set on Orchard Road, NoMad Singapore brings the brand’s distinctive approach to hospitality into conversation with the city’s layered culture. Richly considered design, Singaporean art, destination dining and cultural energy come together under one roof, creating a hotel that feels connected to its surroundings rather than removed from them.
Each stay is a study in contrasts between the cosily residential and the theatrical. The guest rooms feel more like an artist’s apartment than a conventional corporate suite: warm, personal and layered, with eclectic artworks and interiors informed by the colours and patterns of Peranakan shophouses. They are places where guests can exhale, settle in and feel at home.
Beyond the accommodation, the hotel buzzes with activity. Common areas invite discovery, moving from relaxed daytime moments into a spirited after-dark social scene. Four distinct dining and drinking venues form a day-to-night circuit. NoMad Grill brings a Singaporean point of view to the brand’s New York origins, while The Tropicana Club, Sticky Fingers and Lù Bar each offer their own atmosphere and rhythm.
Art is woven throughout the property in the form of around 1,860 works, roughly 90 per cent of which are by Singapore-based artists. A number of pieces were commissioned in partnership with ART:DIS, a local non-profit that champions arts access for people with disabilities. Guests can explore the collection with a self-led art walk through public spaces and corridors.
Designed as both a hotel and a cultural and social destination, NoMad Singapore offers a new way to experience Orchard Road: locally rooted, full of character and unmistakably NoMad.
