The Charles Hotel, A Rocco Forte Hotel
Munich, Germany
A home-away-from-home in downtown Munich, with roomy suites and beautiful design
Every Rocco Forte Hotels’ suite is carefully conceived to provide visitors with an extraordinary experience of the city they are in. Designed by Lady Olga Polizzi, they are inspired by their location, celebrating the history of the building, local culture, or the distinguished guests who have resided at the property.
Rocco Forte’s Munich establishment, The Charles Hotel, offers accommodation for every occasion, from a romantic weekend to a big family reunion. Ranging from 48 to 142 square metres, each of its 28 suites is individually designed to include separate living and sleeping areas with a comfortable king-size bed. Situated between the second and eighth floors, their high windows flood the space with natural light, which can also be enjoyed from French balconies or terraces overlooking the surrounding greenery or the Bavarian capital’s various historic buildings.
The most notable residence is the top-floor Monforte Royal Suite. The 200sq m space boasts a large terrace with views over the Old Botanical Garden, and on clear days, guests may even see as far as the Alps. Its unique open-plan concept is divided into bedroom, living room, dining room, office, and a fully equipped kitchen with a separate entrance. Every area shines in brightly coloured new splendour following a spring refresh in 2025, complemented with bold furniture, statement wallpapers and botanical elements. The Bechstein grand piano – which one or two stars have already played during their stay at The Charles Hotel – completes the one-of-a-kind suite with a final touch of opulence.
